“I think it’s ridiculous”

Erica was interviewed at the airport yesterday while I was parking the car. Good times.

There’s a funny story about these fountains that I’m sure erica will tell you soon. But for now, you get this photo of the kids acting like their parents.
On Sunday morning we walked down to battery park to get a view of lady liberty. it was a warm morning, so we stopped for a few breaks on some shaded benches.
This is the view from the roof of Matt and Renee’s building on Murray Street in Lower Manhattan. The kids loved being able to see down onto other buildings.
instead of scaling the Empire State Building, we went to the top of Rockefeller Center. From there we had a good view uptown of Central Park and downtown of the Empire State Building.
our trip to NYC was a lot of fun. more coming on that later…
here’s a pic of the kids down in Battery Park on the tip of Manhattan. You can see the Statue of Liberty in the far background

So this weekend—Saturday to Sunday.. We are taking the kid’s to New York City!! Bryan and I, Have been there a few times in the past year or so. The kid’s are always excited to hear all about the city. Also every time–I’m there–I think—wow the kid’s would love this place or that place……A few months ago when our good friend’s —Matt and Renee—were visiting us……. they live in Manhattan—and when they left I was telling the kid’s about where they live and about the city…..So they’ve been asking lots of questions and thinking about it a lot. Needless to say–I’m super excited for them to go!!
They are at such good ages right now–to do stuff like this with. They are old enough for us to have fun taking they places and to behave well, and yet young enough—for so many things to be so new and exciting to them. Kylie is most excited for the toy store with the ferris wheel in it (toy’s r us). Parker is most excited for the bus that goes underground (the subway)–Hope he’s not too dissapointed with that : ) Some of the places we have in mind to see——- Fao Schwartz, American doll store, Toys r us, Empire State Building, Nintendo world, Robot world, Central Park, and Dylan’s Candy store………. not sure if we’ll get to all of them–but we’ll see. anyway I’ll be sure to take lot’s of pictures and post them next week.
Kylie: Mylie Cyrus’ real name is Destiny.
Bryan: really? i don’t think so.
Kylie: yeah, it is.
Bryan: *checking Wikipedia* - yeah, you’re right it is.
Kylie: how do you know? oh, you checked on the computer?
Bryan: yup.
Kylie: The computer is always right…except for the weather.
first, here’s a picture of Kylie from the other day. She’s amazingly beautiful, if I do say so myself.

Here’s a picture our newest pet, Max. Max is a rat. Yes, we have a pet rat. Two pet rats actually. Yes, the tail is gross. But once you get past that, they are pretty clean, good with the kids, and very low maintenance.

Here’s Max and Parker.

We hope you still want to come over our house.
